Ten...

If you didn't already know, I have been eating healthier in hopes to shed some pounds and become free from the bondage of food loving addiction. The Lord has blessed me with freedom from this cycle and in the process, I have lost 10 lbs!!! I still have a little to go, and I have been doing this since January 4th, but God has taught me so much through this little weight loss journey. One thing.... this is a marathon not a sprint. I am learning to be patient and just take care of my body and my discipline will pay off with time. No more starving/unhealthy quick fixes. It truly is a life change. I have been trying to turn yummy favorites into healthy alternatives. Tonight I made a recipe that I found on my new favorite blog dashingdish.com A healthy friend showed this to me and I am totally addicted. Tonight we made spaghetti squash...

Instead of noodles, it is "spagetti squash" and I used turkey instead of beef for my sauce. It was surprisingly DELISH!
Another healthy discovery....

I have been wanting to try Chobani forever, and it is AMAZING! It is SO creamy and thick, it makes regular yogurt taste watery. I also bought plain greek yogurt that I plan to sweeten with stevia and fresh fruit but this was a great step in the right direction and if I don't like the "unflavored" I may stick with this! Try it! It is 3 weight watchers points and is loaded with protein. More later :)

Easter Baskets...

I am DREAMING of when it will feel like spring again! We are supposed to get SNOW tomorrow night! I love every season and enjoyed winter this year, but I am ready for the 60's and 70's! I am thinking of all things spring and easter these days, and here are a few GREAT Easter baskets by Martha Stewart...

We also embraced the TRUE meaning of easter last week when we went home to Louisville to see the Southeast Easter Pageant. PLEASE go see it if you are in Louisville. The last show is this friday. It is truly INCREDIBLE and you WILL be blessed! Read more about it Here.
And on a lighter note...
WE ARE GOING TO THE FINAL FOURRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Couldn't be happier about that :)

Outdoor Living

Happy Spring ya'll! I am thrilled that the Lord is blessing us with little touches of this beautiful new season! One of my little current projects around here these days is to turn our unoccupied deck into a little outdoor living space! We found some outdoor furniture on clearance and the rest is slowly coming together....pics of the final project will be up soon! We are doing this on a major budget as this is not our "forever home" but we LOVE spending time outside so we can't let our deck go to waste! I prefer both a conversation/lounge area as well as a dining area, but we only have room for one... so I chose a living area instead of dining. Here are some BEAUTIFUL inspirations to get your outdoor living area looking fabulous...

Photos are from Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Grandin Road, Frontgate, and Ballard Designs.

On another note, I just lit this springy Yankee Candle and it is HEAVENLY...

Happy Spring :)

Hello Hayes

Sorry Bloggers! I promise to do more entries this week! I have been so busy and consumed with my new job, which I will blog more about later :) Our precious family came to stay with us, as my AMAZING brother-in-law led worship at our church. I didn't take any photos all weekend, except for just a couple of my nephew Hayes. Hayes "combed" his face.... with a razor and was lucky to only nick his chin...

I LOVE him and could just eat him up!
More soon :)
