Raising your children up in the Lord

One of the only things I pray for when I pray for our future children is that they will know the Lord. Here are two amazing videos of sweet little ones who have amazing parents who want their children to know God.
This is sweet Darby's youngest daughter. Darby posts one of my favorite blogs ever which you can read here.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
I am enjoying a day with some family and cant wait to enjoy our meal! On our menu is: Turkey, mashed potatoes, roasted brussel sprouts, cranberry relish, corn pudding and pumpkin creme brule. I hope you are having a blessed day with your family and are counting all your blessings! I thought I would reflect on my top 10 blessings and really pray over them today because I have SO much to to be thankful for, I can barely wrap my mind around it! Here are my 10....
1. God's goodness, grace and love for me, and the salvation I have through Jesus Christ.
2. My Marriage. I am extremely blessed to be married to a man who loves the Lord first, and loves me a close second :) He truly loves me when I don't deserve to be loved and I thank God for blessing me with him to spend my life with!
3. My family. Wow, I have amazing family that I have such an amazing connection with. I have SO much fun with them and am so thankful for my family I have picked up on Luke's side. My precious nephews and niece have taught me so much about God's love and I truly treasure them. I also am thankful for the family Luke and I will create on our own.
4. Being an American. I truly LOVE traveling the world and have been very blessed to travel to other parts of this world, but at the end of the day it is so nice to come home to a country that provides freedom, and opportunity in such an abundant way. I love our country.
5. For the "home". I truly love decorating and setting up our home in a beautiful way. I love retreating from the world, and coming to a place that I love and can be with my family.
6. I am thankful for the men and women who have fought for the freedom that we get to enjoy. Both my grandfathers fought in world war 2 and I am thankful for that!
7. I am thankful for my health that I take for granted everyday. As a nurse, I have seen so much pain and suffering, and I am so thankful for mine and my family's health.
8. The Bible, having access to God's word at anytime. I am SO thankful that I have direction for my life in a book that was inspired by the Lord himself. I don't know what I would do with out it.
9. My kitty! (By the way, this is not in order) He brings me so much joy and I am thankful for all furry friends!
10. The tiny, miscellaneous blessing that I am thankful for each day. A hot bath, a smile, candle light, blogs, filet mignon, deep conversations, photographs, having food on my plate everyday, board games, hugs, fresh flowers, kisses among thousands of others incredible blessings that the Lord blesses us with each day.
What are some of your blessings that you are thankful for?

We have been up to so much fun lately! Last night we decorated our home for Christmas (post to come) and we were in Louisville this weekend to celebrate my sweet niece turning one! Before I show you pictures of her ADORABLE party, here are some memories of the day she was born, just one year ago...
Date Day!
Friday, November 19, 2010
Today Luke and I had a great date day in Louisville! First we did a "spa morning". Luke loves it when I do anything to pamper him! So I gave my handsome husband a facial peel by philosophy....
It was my Moms's AWESOME peel system! I love it, so did Luke...
Chuy's! YUM!
THE BEST salsa EVER!
They also have a creamy jalepeno that is to die for!
Then we went to see...
It was AWESOME!
Then off for some Starbucks in the RED cups!
We had a GREAT date DAY!
And here is the latest of Teddy and Louie...
