Bedding Complete!

After a couple more pillows and an extra quilt, our bed is finally complete! We will be receiving a new foot board in the next couple weeks so we can put our posts back on the bottom of the bed. We both look forward to crawling into our comfy bed each night!

Finally a frozen yogurt place that is close to us! So close that we walked today...

Sorry for the lack of pictures, I worked night shift last night, woke up and my husband decided we should go! I was not up to taking pictures but promise to take some next time we go! I am sure that will be PLENTY this summer. It reminded me of my favorite frozen yogurt place in Louisville, 32 degrees. It is self serve and they charge by weight, much better than "yagoot" here in Cincinnati. I know they are now in Cincinnati and my sister in law had some in Lexington last week. If you haven't been to a frozen yogurt bar yet, please try it out! It is guilt free, delicious and refreshing with summer quickly approaching.

While I normally love some color in a room and on a wall, after spending some time exploring Martha Stewart, I must say that I love some very neutral rooms.... 

Moose Reunion

This weekend was our annual "moose" reunion in Louisville. My extended family on my Mom's side come from all over the country to spend time together each year. My grandfather and his brother had the nick name "moose" for each other.... the name kind of stuck and they both have now passed away, but the younger mooses still carry on the name! We had great family time...

Cherries and Cheers

One thing that puts a smile on my face are Fresh Market's Chocolate Cherries... If you haven't had them, you must try these yummy treats....

Something else that puts a smile on my face is a cheerful and joyful heart. As a new nurse, I am encouraged by this verse as I take care of my patients...

So many of my coworkers and patients tell me, you are always so happy and cheerful! But I am humbly reminded that the joy in my heart is not of my own, but of Jesus Christ who lights up my life and gives me such a hope and an over all joyful life. I so often get anxious and brought down by this world, but the kindness of Jesus that we can express can be an encouragement to the heaviest of hearts. I encourage you to say only kind words and to center your life on what is eternal, and that is God... and while your at it, eat a chocolate cherry :)
