Precious Family and Food Inc.

Sorry, I have been MIA for a couple days, I had the BEST weekend with some of my FAVORITE people! Luke and I traveled to Zionsville, IN (a quaint suburb on the north side of Indianapolis) where my aunt, uncle and sweet cousin live. We came to visit them, and my cousin Julie who just had her first baby in June. Julie and her husband live overseas in Bejing China, so seeing Julie is always a precious time since she lives on the other side of the world. Julie could possibly be one of the most Godly women I know, and the Lord always blesses our time together. She has been extremely instrumental in my relationship with Christ and getting to see her as a mother now was awesomel. I didn't have my my memory card in my camera, but my aunt took lots of great pics that I will post soon! We managed to take one with an iphone.... (ignore my crazy fly away :)

and sweet Juliette...
I love her so much already!

We had Lunch at the cutest place called serenity. It has the most delicious gourmet food. If you are ever in Zionsville, check it out....

Now for what has changed my life last night... Have you seen it?....

OH. MY. HEAVENS!!!! I still get sick when I start to think about it. If you know me at all, I can be a little particular with the quality of my food... especially meat. I go to whole foods or the fresh market to get my meat and I buy a few organic items here and there, but am not a "food freak" by any means... I still don't plan on being CRAZY about it, even after seeing this movie, but whoa, I will definitely be changing some eating habits and thinking harder about what I decide to eat. I was disgusted to see how our food industry works. I would love to see the other side of this movie, because I'm sure it was a little biased to their opinions, but some of the facts they presented were disgusting. I want to put quality, real food into my mouth and do the same for my family. I think how over-processed SO much of the food we eat needs to change, so I encourage you to watch this movie and take it for whatever you wish, and think about NEVER eating things like chicken nuggets, meat fillers and high fructose corn syrup. TRUST ME I'm not a crazy hippie, as I do see many hippies in whole foods :) but just don't eat garbage. YUCK!

Perfect Stocking Stuffer

Wednesday, December 15, 2010

Trying to come up with the perfect stocking stuffer? Well, in my book, you can't beat a bottle of OPI nail polish. The colors are so fun, it goes on so well, and it motivates terrible nail people, like me, who bite and never polish, to pretty-up their nails :) Here are some of my favorite Holiday Colors...
Sparkle-icious

     Bogota BlackBerry

We'll always have Paris
    Over the Taupe

     Alpine Snow
