Perfect Stocking Stuffer

Wednesday, December 15, 2010

Trying to come up with the perfect stocking stuffer? Well, in my book, you can't beat a bottle of OPI nail polish. The colors are so fun, it goes on so well, and it motivates terrible nail people, like me, who bite and never polish, to pretty-up their nails :) Here are some of my favorite Holiday Colors...
Sparkle-icious

     Bogota BlackBerry

We'll always have Paris
    Over the Taupe

     Alpine Snow
Russian Navy

Sweet Heart

Do you Lilac it?
       DS Reflection

Christmas Craft

Tuesday, December 14, 2010

Hey everyone!!! Decided I need to do a little Christmas crafting this season and with Christmas quickly approaching, I was getting ready to run out of time! After a trip to both Hobby Lobby and Michaels with no success with finding all the supplies I needed to make a Christmas berry wreath, I decided to copy a craft I found on Savvy Southern Style, a great blog that I really enjoy! While at Michael's, I found this little guy for $4...

and some of this...

and this...

Put it all together and got this...

He has a couple bald spots that I need to fill in :) Happy Christmas Crafting!!!

Christmas Wrapping

Thursday, December 9, 2010

Tonight we started to wrap some Christmas presents. I am happy to say I am completely done with my shopping, now the fun part... wrapping :) Luke and I wrapped to Home Alone 2, a Christmas classic. I bought two different wrapping paper patterns this year. We only did about 20% of our wrapping tonight, and we did it all in this pattern...

The wrapping has all sorts of names for Jesus, it really brings a beautiful reminder of what this season is all about. (I bought this, and all my wrapping at Hobby Lobby.)

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6

Our bedding: Part two

Tuesday, December 7, 2010

Hey everyone! Thought I would update ya'll on our bedding, which is taking a while to complete, but is so fun to get pieces one by one and watch it come together. The bed we ended up getting was, believe it or not, a Paula Deen bed! Yes she makes it all, including beautiful furniture for all rooms in your home. You can see her line, HERE. The bed is the "Savannah" style in the "tobacco" finish. I love her furniture because it is classic with a rustic/worn finish. It is comfortable and beautiful at a pretty good price! We absolutely love it and feel very blessed to have a cozy place to spend a large part of our marriage. Here it is coming all together...

While we are in this condo, the ONLY place our bed will fit is in front of this window :( It is way too big for the room, but I didn't buy the bed for this condo, It will fit much nicer when we have a home.

In the mail, about two weeks ago, I got these powder blue pottery barn shams :)

And tonight, in the mail, I received the monogram accent pillow in the pearl embroidery finish.

The Euro Shams and Duvet cover I ordered are on back order until March 4th!!!! BUMMER but I had a 20% off coupon and got it for a GREAT deal, so it will be worth the wait... I will post when it comes :)

A bit of Christmas

Monday, December 6, 2010

Until I get my camera for Christmas, I can't really capture Christmas in my home as my sweet little cannon point and shoot just can't get that glowy goodness that is Christmas decor, with out a flash. It's either broad day light BRIGHT with the flash, or DARK and hard to see with out a flash, so here a few attempts to show you our home at Christmas...

More to come with my new Camera :)

Loved ones...

Saturday, December 4, 2010

I have been blessed to be able to spend some time with my absolute favorite people these past few weeks! My dear friend Savannah was in Louisville from Dallas and so we had a sleep over at her precious family's house, who I love and adore. We made so many special memories and stayed up with her sister Sadie and mom Beth talking til the wee small hours of the morning! One of my dearest friends Chelsea also came over for a couple hours. Each one of these women are some of my most treasured friends...

We were very bad at taking pictures that night! It was such a blessing to be with some girlfriends and enjoy precious time together. Here are some of my other favorites at Thanksgiving...

And before our little girls night sleep over, I went to see my nephew Lane sing in his Christmas Choir Concert. It was precious...
